Description of Composite Rope
Made from high-strength polyester and polypropylene fibers, heavy duty dock lines combine the best qualities of both materials. These ropes exhibit strong UV resistance, anti-aging capabilities, and exceptional protection against seawater corrosion. With enhanced abrasion resistance, they are highly durable and perform well in challenging environments, making them suitable for various industrial and marine applications.
Ratio of polypropylene and polyester in the composite rope
In the mixed mooring rope, we can adjust the ratio of polypropylene and polyester fibers according to your requirements. We usually produce 30% polyester fiber and 70% polypropylene. The density of this ratio is below 1.0. So the rope can float on the water surface. Meanwhile, ropes with this ratio will gain the advantages of polyester ropes and optimize their circumference. Due to the superiority of polyester materials, mixed ropes will have higher strength and stronger UV resistance than ordinary PP ropes. Meanwhile, the higher the proportion of polypropylene fibers, the lighter the rope and can float on the water surface.
If you hope to gain different performance of rope, you can adjust the ratio of polypropylene and polyester. For example 25% polyester plus 75% polypropylene will have lighter weight of rope and less breaking strength than the rope with 30% polyester fiber.
50% polypropylene plus 50%polyester will get higher strength and heavier rope. It will help you solve special problem the polyester rope can not.
