What is the process of making the poly steel mooring rope?
Fiber manufacturing. We use a mixture of 70% primary polypropylene and 30% high-density polyethylene as the main raw materials. In addition, we will add some additives to improve the performance of the rope. Then, we put the prepared raw materials into an extruder to make steel fibers. Primary fiber is like a thick noodle. After multiple stretches, it became a thin and flat fiber. This produces Danlan fiber, with a minimum toughness of 7.5 grams per denier, which is the highest gram per denier of any fiber commonly used in the manufacture of polypropylene or polyethylene ropes. The fiber manufacturing process is the most important process that determines most of the properties of ropes, such as tensile strength, wear resistance, UV resistance, etc.
