Description of HMPE synthetic winch ropes
HMPE synthetic winch rope has the characteristics of super strong fibers, high tensile strength, and low weight. Their specially arranged molecular structure provides excellent strength and wear resistance.These characteristics make HMPE an ideal choice for applications that require high-performance, lightweight materials. HMPE synthetic winch ropes of the same diameter are stronger than steel wire ropes.
At the same time, its weight is only 1/8 of that of a steel wire rope, making it more efficient and easy to transport during lifting operations.
Features
- Stronger :with a same diameter, the strength of HMPE mooring rope is stronger than that of wire rope.
- Lower elongation: their breaking elongation is close to that of wire rope.
- Lighter: with a same strength, their weight(g/m) is only 1/8 of wire rope.
- Smaller: in the same strength, the dia. of the UHMW PE rope is 55%-60% of the nylon rope or polyester rope,45% of the polypropylene rope

Application
HMPE synthetic winch rope has high strength to weight ratio, smooth handling, and low tensile performance, making it the preferred choice for ship auxiliary ropes, offshore drilling platforms, and oil tankers.
