Description of hmpe ropes
HMPE ropes are produced with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber and advanced technology. Featuring high strength, low weight and low elongation, they have a long service life, and their operation is easy, fast and safe.
Features
- Stronger: with a same diameter, the strength of hmpe ropes is comparable to that of wire rope.
- Lower elongation: their breaking elongation is close to that of wire rope.
- Lighter: with a same strength, their weight(g/m) is only 1/8 of wire rope.
- Material:UHMWPE
- Structure:12 strand
- Density: 0.97g/cm3
- Melting point: 140℃
- Elongation: 3.5%
- Abrasion resistance: excellent
- UV resistance: excellent
- Chemical resistance: good
- Dry and wet conditions: wet strength equals dry strength
- Non-rotating and anti-kinking, longer service life
- Easy to handle, inspect and repair
Application
port towing, mooring system for ultra large container ships, Army&Navy equipment, offshore, aerospace, sport equipment, electrical communications, large precision object sling, etc.
